The Quest part I

My life so far has been a never ending search. Searching for the perfect dress, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect friends etc etc has led me into finding some other rather unexpected perfect things.  While I am sure this kind of behaviour suggests some kind of psycho trauma , this is not the blog to discuss that tho (thank God!),  we should celebrate the great findings that made my life a little bit more perfect.

Kérastase Chroma Sensitive Caressing Cleansing Balm:

I have to introduce this by saying that i have been a Kerastase devotee for many years a while back, before I found out that my hair is better off without the harsh sulfates in shampoo and that smooth hair can be achived without silicones - but thats another story- so therefore I have been a bit reluctant to try this.

One day, as I was strolling arround the city center, and bearing in my mind that my current shampoo had almost finished, I dared to enter a hairdressers that was selling the Kerastase brand. I purchessed the Chroma Balm and I rushed back home, excited and curious to see how my new acquisition would perform.

I got into the shower, got my hair wet, put into my hand the equivalent of about 12-13 pumps of the stuff, and strated massaging my scalp and my hair. I repeated ( its a thing of mine, I always like to shampoo twice to make sure all of the dirt is out). It didnt lather, but I was already customed to that from using other sulfate free shampooes, still it mesesmerised me with this great flowery smell.  As I was massaging it into my hair, I could feel my hair getting instantly conditioned and detangled. It turned from having this dry-ish feel to it to soft like velvet.  This stunned me because most of the other shampooes usually give my hair a feeling of dryness before I put the conditioner on.

I was very please with this in-shower experience. I wondered if I should still use conditioner after it, but to be on the safe side i did, rinsed, got out of the shower and put a towel on.  Then I started to worry if my hair would be left slimey from all of that conditioning. But no, as I dryed my hair my hair was smooth, bouchy and great smelling.  Usualy the next day after washing  my hair would already start to feel dry-ish, then on the second day would feel even more dry still, but with the Kerastase balm this didnt happen.

I have to say that i have brown hair that is dryed blonde (we all know what that does to the hair).  My hair is very fine, dry and gets knotted easyly.  Also about 3 years ago I got a bad cut and im trying to grow it out ever since.

All in all, the Kérastase Chroma Sensitive Caressing Cleansing Balmis a product that delivers. It didnt fade my colour, conditioned and detangled my hair. It contains 1/4 of cleansing agents and 3/4 of care agents, wich makes me think that it may weigh down certain hair types.
It dosent come cheap -its arround 16 pounds on feelunique.com (http://www.feelunique.com/p/Kerastase-Chroma-Sensitive-Caressing-Cleansing-Balm-200ml) but if you want to try something more gentle on your hair, give it a go!
